A reflection of the growth of the gravel scene, Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship began producing Grinduro in 2015 that grew into one of the most sought after events in the US.
For next year, the two are taking separate paths, but will both continue with events in 2020.
Sierra Trails will continue on in Quincey with their Original Gravel Enduro now called Mountains to Meadows which will take place September 24 -27.
On top of camping, music and a festival atmosphere, the headline event will be again on the Saturday with a race now called Gravelation that will once again have four timed segments.
Also added to the slate is a Friday night cyclocross / short track race called Hellfire which will be host to a party atmosphere at the American Valley Speedway.
On top of their involvement with Grinduro, Sierra Trails has also produced the popular Lost and Found Gravel Grinder in Portola and the Downieville Classic.
These races help fund the work of Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship for building and maintaining their vast network of recreational trails in the Tahoe, Plumas and Lassen National Forests.
Meanwhile, Grinduro California continues on, but be moving to the Mount Shasta area the weekend before Mountains to Meadows.
Grinduro has recently seen a rapid expansion that now features events in six different countries, including Austrailia, Japan, Switzerland, Canada and the UK.
More details to come, but Grinduro California will take place the weekend before Mountains to Meadows on September 19th.
