Mammoth Tuff grows year after year and fortunately does all the events around it.
Saturday’s Ride is the centerpiece, but it’s a complete weekend with all the rides, hikes and hangouts that you need to take advantage of as much of the Eastern Sierra as possible, so here is my timeline for ‘Tuff.
I always make it up on the Thursday to give a little more time to acclimate to the altitude, so I’ll be heading over to Mammoth Brewing (18 Lake Mary Rd) that evening at 7pm for dinner and possibly extra-curriculars, so I hope to see some GBCers there.
The next morning we’ll hold our typical pre-pre ride with the biggest issue before being too early and cold, so we’ll be starting a couple of hours later meeting at 9:30am and rolling SHARP at 10am out of Old New York Deli (6201 Minaret Rd. #105).
This route has some exceptionally fun single track, so this will start the day on a high note. Please RSVP HERE:
There are a few shakeout rides later in the day with a couple starting at 11:30am, but since we’re starting our pre-pre ride later, I’ll be joining the CTS Shakeout Ride out of Footloose Sports at 2pm that should end by 3:30pm.
Since there should be a little gap of time between these rides, I plan on eating lunch up the street at Stellar Brew and Natural Cafe at 1pm that has a number of vegan and grab and go options.
After the CTS Ride, there should be plenty of time to head back to the Village to catch the Mammoth BUFF Beer run at 4:30 so don’t threaten me with a good time.
Lastly, on Sunday at 8:30am, Mammoth Tuff will be handing out awards and giving away an amazing set of prizes for their raffle.
In chronological order:
- Thursday 7PM – Mammoth Brewing Meetup
- Friday 10AM – Pre-pre ride
- Friday 1PM – Lunch
- Friday 2PM – CTS Shakeout Ride
- Friday 4:30PM – Mammoth Buff
- Saturday 7:30AM – Mammoth Tuff
- Sunday 8:30AM – Awards & Prizes
In either case, I look forward to seeing so many GBCers out there for a Tuff, but not tough weekend…
