PLEASE READ ENTIRE NOTES FOR RIDE INFORMATION (Facebook or Strava RSVP):
We’re kicking off GBC’s Five Year Anniversary with what else but rides joining forces with the Santa Cruz Graveleers for a fun little evening jaunt.
We’ll be starting and ending out Humble Sea’s West Santa Cruz location (820 Swift St. Santa Cruz) leaving promptly at 5:30pm (although we may push back).
Our route will be roughly fifteen miles and roughly ~1,400 ft of gain, so there will be a modest amount of climbing.
Here’s some information, tips, and updated rules to abide by:
- The first rule is that this is an unsupported ride and everyone rolls at their own risk.
- The climbing is going require some effort.
- BRING LIGHTS! Sunset is at 8:30, but this is a just in case move.
- There will be a number of regroups, but once everyone’s back, we roll!
- Make sure to bring your own tubes and a couple of water bottles.
- Riding tires 40mm and above will do the trick for most, as there will also be some single track as well.
- This will not be race pace. At the same time, you have to be in the good to great shape range to do this ride. If you’re just getting back into riding, I suggest you read Rule #1 again.
The ride will include us doing a counterclockwise loop into UC Santa Cruz and their trails before descending down into Wilder Ranch State Park before returning to Humble Sea.
There is plenty of street parking in the neighborhood but arrive early.
Once again, please RSVP(Facebook or Strava) to help us out with numbers.
