Gravel Bike California NorCal Weekend Mar 13-15

Every once in awhile the stars align for GBC and working on a weekend where you’ll get your gravel filling in for awhile.

Please note that we’ll be updating this page with more details often (and in case of any weather hazards).

We’ll be doing three days of riding and two of them Send Its (both with a giveaway for Life Time Sea Otter Gravel Entries) so join us up north for as much as your heart pleases:

Friday, Mar 13: East Bay Bike Party

Every second Friday of the month, the East Bay Bike Party mozies through Alameda, Contra Costa or both counties for a roughly 15-20 mile ride that’s paced for all riders.

Starting at 8pm, the route either loops or utilizes BART with a couple of stops along the way where the beats really start to drop.

While the route hasn’t dropped yet, it’s looking like it’ll be in the El Cerrito area, so we’ll be adding the route as soon as it goes live.

Of course, bring lights and some tunes too…

Saturday, Mar 14: Send It Around the Bay

For one of our most unique rides to date, we’ll be going through three sides of the bay and two bridges for an around the bay (not the whole thing) adventure.

Like our Send It East Bay ride, we’ll be starting at Hal’s Office Coffee in Albany meeting at 9am for drinks, rolling out at 930am.

From there, we will head across the Richmond Bridge for a little roll through China Camp along the Shoreline Trail (those who want to do the tougher can branch off onto the Bay View Trail).

On our return, riders can go back via the Richmond Bridge or continue with our longer adventure riding up to Hawk Hill and across the Golden Gate Bridge.

The ride will end in San Francisco taking BART under the Bay to the North Berkeley Station, so please bring money and lights (just in case).

We will have regroups, but this may be a little more DIY considering the length, so please download the route(s).

Sunday, May 15: Send It Sacramento

A staple on our yearly schedule, we are returning to two of our favorites starting out of In Velo Veritas in Old Sac and ending at Bike Dog Brewing at their East Broadway location (pro tip: park here and bike to the start).

We will be rolling out at 10:30am, covering roughly 25-30 miles and is mainly flat, so if you’re a BEGINNER and looking to do your first Send It, this would be an excellent ride to start.

We will be adding the route closer to the date, but please RSVP for details.
