RSVP for Satruday, February 28th on Facebook or Strava to stay informed
GBC had a blast in one of our favorite rides in 2025, but there was one missing element we were waiting for to bring it back for a Send It.
In the north area of San Luis Obispo County, Shandon was a pleasant surprise with its pastoral views and quiet nature that now we have green hills we just want to do it better!
Once again we’ll be joining our friends from SLO GRVL so you know it’ll be a fun one.
We’ll also be giving away a free entry to the Life Time Sea Otter Classic Gravel Race for those in attendance Saturday.
On top of our ride on Saturday, February 28th, we’ll also do a little 15 mile shakeout ride from Art’s Cyclery on Friday, Feb 27th meeting at 3:30pm.
Before getting into the details, here are the RIDE RULES.
- We will meet at CW Clarke Park (101 W Centre St, Shandon, CA 93461) at 9:30am with bathrooms and plenty of available parking.
- MOST IMPORTANT NOTE: There is NO WATER or bathrooms along the route, so plan accordingly.
- Riding tires 35mm and above will do the trick for most with a mixture hard and smooth surfaces.
- There will be a number of regroups, but once everyone’s back, we roll!
- This will not be race pace, but there is a good amount of milage. If you’re just getting back into riding, I suggest you read Rule #1 again.
- For the Friday ride, Art’s Cyclery is located at (3988 Short St # 110, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401). The route will be posted here a week before the ride. Bring lights
- Please download the ride route:
After, we will picnic in the park, so bring along some food or drop into La Salsa Market down the street.
We’re looking forward to introducting graveleers to this special route, so we hope you can make it out Saturday, Feb 28th!
